Tania and I have been looking for a partner who would join Rosemary and Vine to help manage the day-to-day operations. Unfortunately, this search has not been fruitful. While the discussions continued with candidates, we received an offer for a full acquisition. It was never our intention to operate the restaurant ourselves for an indefinite period and 3.5 years after opening, we have come to the conclusion that in order for the restaurant to thrive, both Tania and I would have to devote all of our time to the business. While we loved doing that for the last 3.5 years, we now feel that our priorities have shifted. We would like the opportunity to spend more time with our kids during these early stages of their lives and running a restaurant is not exactly the recipe for that! This is why we have decided to sell the restaurant. While it is very sad to see Rosemary and Vine coming to an end, we are very excited for what the future holds and we’re looking forward to starting a new chapter.
The sale happened rather quickly on our end and we apologize for not being able to give more notice. Sadly, Wednesday the 10th of April 2019 was our last day of business.
We would like to thank all of our staff for doing an amazing job over the years. Edgar, Jacky, Jasmine, Irma, Paige, Jeremyah, Ashley, thank you for your loyalty and for hanging with us for so long! Alex, Jocelyn, Dylan, Natividad, Audelia, Sandra, Arael, Rosa, Jonathan, Stephen and Alessandra, Sarah and Elizabeth, thank you for everything. We couldn’t have done it without all of you!
Last but not least, a great big thanks to Rye for the love and support since we first started. We greatly enjoyed being part of the community, both as a business and also as residents. Now we have to be content with just being residents! Thank you and see you all around!
Stay tuned for a Rosemary and Vine recipe book! ;)
